FACE MASK

It has been a while since I used any form of face mask. I've been so busy with school that I haven't had the time to properly care for my face and skin in general. Hopefully, now, I'll be able to create and stick to a routine. 

A friend recommended this Orange sheet mask by Nevada Natural Products, so I thought, why not try it out?

Description

This face mask enriched with orange extract, Ginkgo and Hyaluronic Acid formula. Contains antioxidant properties that hydrates, brightens, provides elasticity to the skin, helping prevent any signs of aging that appears on the face like expression lines, wrinkles and blemishes. Perfect for exfoliating the skin leaving your face with an energizing effect.

For greasy skin.

Usage

Clean your face with water, apply the mask in a comfortable position, leave on for 15 to 20 minutes and then remove. It is recommended its used 4 to 5 times per week for better results.

So, I did as instructed.

1. I washed my face and waited for it to dry
2. I tore off the seal 
   
3. I took out the mask. For some reason, I was expecting the mask inside to be coloured 
   
4. Apply the mask
   
5. Leave on for the instructed amount of time and peel off.

Verdict

After using this mask a second time, I noticed that it helped in visibly reducing inflammation and pimple size. My face felt hydrated and soft as well, and I love the face mask.

If you follow me on instagram, you'll know that a couple days ago, I tried on the mask and was confused as to whether to wash my face immediately after taking off the mask or to wait a while. I went ahead and took a poll and there was a tie. Based on that, I did some research and came up with a list of dos and don'ts for this type of sheet facial mask.

Do

• know what you're buying. First rule of buying anything is to know what it is. Is it for your skin type? What does it say it does? Are you allergic to anything present in the formula? When does it expire? If you don't understand anything about it, ask or google it up, or better yet, DO NOT BUY IT.
• always read and follow the instructions
• start with clean hands and face. I think this is pretty basic. You don't want to go spreading any form of bacteria with your hands or applying the mask on skin that is covered with layers of dirt and oil.
• be careful with the mask. Some masks are pretty thin and not being careful could lead to you tearing and deforming the mask, which could make it useless.
• get in a comfortable position before applying the mask.
• make sure the mask sticks to your face like a second skin. In order for the skin to absorb all of the goodness of your sheet mask, make sure the mask sticks and is smooth over the face.
• tap in the excess essence onto the skin after taking off the mask. 

Don't

• purchase what you don't understand. If it doesn't state what it does or you just don't understand the product, ask, or don't buy it.
• apply mask with protective layer. Some sheet masks come with a protective paper. Make sure to check if there is a protective paper and peel it off before applying mask.
• be disobedient. Make sure to follow the instructions provided and don't leave the mask on for more than the instructed amount of time. DO NOT FALL ASLEEP WITH THE MASK ON! 
• wash your face after taking off the mask. NO NO NO. You don't want to do that. Instead, dab the remaining essence from the mask into your skin and let it sit there. You'll thank me later.
• use too many products on your face before applying the mask. In fact, the most you can do is clean and tone the face. Do not use any creams or oils on the face before hand otherwise the mask won't do its job.
